The Most Amazing Gift!

It is amazing to think about how much God loves us!  When you take just a moment to really stop and think about the Christmas story and how God out of His great love for us sent His Son to be born into this world, so that we could have a Savior and be restored to right relationship and blessing – it is just an amazing thought!  God loves me!  I don’t deserve it and I never could!  I can’t earn it, not even on my best day.  God just loves me, because He is God and God is love!  God’s love compels Him to give me the gift of life – everlasting and abundant!  He does not have to give me life and love – He has made the choice to bless me with these amazing gifts!

This Christmas as we give and receive gifts, let’s make sure and take the time to appreciate the greatest gift of all – a relationship with God through our Savior Jesus Christ!

The Simple Life!

Someone said that simplicity is living according to a set of values that reduce our dependency upon the world and increase our dependency upon God!  I am finding that as I experience more and more of life, this statement is right on the mark!  When I try to live my life according to a set of values that have been set up or influenced by the world, I am constantly making adjustments to try and find just the right fit and I get frustrated at the complication, but when I live my life according to the values that grow out of my depending on and trusting in Christ – life just seems to work an I am blessed with peace and fulfillment!

My problem is staying with the right set of values!  I love God and I want to live for Him.  It is the desire of my life to bring glory to His name and growth to His Kingdom!  I Just sometimes get sidetracked by all of the other stuff.  The influnces of people and what they think or say will sometimes cause me to step right out of God’s values that lead to peace and into man’s values that lead to frustration!  I like to think that I am making life more simple, but what I am really doing is complicating things!

God has a plan – it is the best plan!  When I am in the right state of mind – I choose these good things of God and life is really simple and blessed!

I Love Sundays!

I love Sundays!  I love getting up in the morning and getting everything ready to help people to get ready for the next week of their lives.  That is kinda how I see Sundays.  We go to church to worship God and thank Him for the week that He just gave us and to ask Him for strength, guidance and direction for the week to come!  Sundays are very busy for me – they start early and end late, but they are very fulfilling.  I begin the day by praying as I get things ready (lights on, doors open, materials in place).  I then get to interact with brothers and sisters from every walk of life.  We sing, pray and worship together and I share a message that God has birthed in my heart.  When God puts something in you, there is am amazing fulfillment that comes when you get it out and share it with others.  The possibilities of seeing people’s lives and love as it changes and grows is something that words cannot explain!

Well, I gotta go – I’ve got lots to do to get ready, but I can already tell – it’s going to be an amazing day!  I can’t wait to see what God is going to do in our lives today!  Look forward to it and you might just be surprised at what God will do in your life!

The Gift Of Grace!

God has blessed us with an amazing gift called grace!  I believe that we all need to experience the deep, profund and amazing grace of God in our lives.  Grace that we find outside of ourselves, not that we manufacture to make ourselves feel better about life.  Grace that comes when we call on God, seek Him  and discover that real grace is so much more than a word, it is a gift revealed by God through His love, Word and interaction with His creation!

We are all searching for something that will satisfy the hunger of our lives and Spirit.  We are looking to connect with something or someone that will sustain us through the difficulties and support us in whatever life situation we may encounter!  There are so many people that just can’t believe that God can care for them – they feel unworthy and cannot bring themselves to the place of experiencing forgiveness.

Yet, there is a stirring in every person’s spirit.  A stirring that invites each and everyone of us to experience the amazing gift of God’s grace, forgiveness, love and acceptance.  God loves us and that love says that we are worth something!  It is through grace that our hearts are mended and our lives are put back together.  God will strengthen our spirit, renew our life and make us stronger!  Enjoy the gift!

More Talk To Yourself!

I am without limits in every area of life!  God has made it possible for me to move through life experiencing and sharing blessing every moment of every day!  The choices I make are only limited by the faith that I possess!  I make my decisons based on what I believe God wants for me, not based on what others say or try and manipulate.  God has given me the ability to invite others into this experience of blessing that I am living in.  I am prospering, experiencing good health and enjoying growing relationships.

God says that I can have everlasting and abundant life and I make the choice to have faith and believe Him!  God is not limited by anything or anybody.  He is more than enough and has more than enough for everyone, everywhere to live in blessing!  I see Him all around me.  I want Him and His blessing in my life.  I trust Him to do what He has promised He would do – to and through me!

I choose His blessing not because I want to stockpile for myself, but because I want to be used by Him to bless others!  God’s unlimited supply of good things will flow to me and through me, if I am open and willing!  I am blessed to have people around me that I like and that like me.  I am thankful for people that help me to grow and allow me to help them!  It is a great blessing to be able to interact with others.  I enjoy conversation, laughing and appreciate what God has created in others that make them unique and different.  And in return they enjoy their interaction with me.  My goal is to appreciate and not criticize.

I am invgorated with life!  I am healthy and growing in all areas:  spiritual, mental, physical, emotional and financial!  Today is a glorious day!  God allows me to use my physical brain, while accessing His supernatural power.  I am at a great place in my life here on earth and I set out today to look for the good things of God.  I bring the good stuff of God into my life, while ignoring and leaving the bad behind!

I will enjoy and grow in this day!

Talk To Yourself!

We should take some time everyday to talk to our Creator and to talk to ourself!  You might be thinking:  “What would I say to self?”  I’ll give you some suggestions in the next several posts:

Today is a great day and I am glad that God has given it to me!  I am living an amazing life!  I am using the abilities provided by my Creator which allow me to create and choose what kind of a life I am going to live and enjoy.  I am full of energy and journey through life with peace, joy and happiness.  I attract and am attracted to those that love and protect peace, joy and happiness, and I love to spend time with them!  God has put His purpose in my heart and I know why I am here and what I am doing.  Every day and in every way, I understand what I want and what I was created for.  I am healthy, refreshed and ready for whatever it is that is about to come my way!  I am dressed inside and out in the manner that I have chosen for myself and what others think does not influence me in a negative or positive way.  What is important is that God is pleased with me and that I find peace in who and what I am.

Back Up Your Life!

I am back!  I had a computer crash and have been trying to get things back up and running!  Fortunately, I had backed up all of the important information, but seemed to have lost some pics and music!  Just a week before the big crash, I had thought to myself, that I needed to backup my whole computer on one of those external hard drives, but never got around to going and buying one!  The result:  I did not lose everything, but, I did lose some things!

The whole process got me to thinking about how we know what we ought to do, but often never get around to doing it.  Like we know that we should back up our lives by reading, studying and applying God’s Word.  We hear the sermons, but how often do we really take the time to back up our lives by applying what we are hearing?

Take some time today think about some of the areas of your life that God could improve – and think about how some of what you are hearing and reading applies.  Back up your daily living with the good stuff of God and you will be amazed at how much sweeter life can be!
